Science degree, Science Teacher

I'm a private tutor specialising in GCSE Science, and A-Level Chemistry and Biology. Over the last few years I have taught more than 1,000 hours of one-to-one lessons, working with students aiming to pass and students aiming for top grades alike.

Over my time teaching, I've helped over 100 students in their exams and yielded amazing results with students enrolling in top Russel group universities

The result is teaching that feels demanding but never chaotic. Students know what they are learning, why it is on the specification, and exactly how it will be examined.

How I teach

Understanding before technique

Exam technique matters, but only once the underlying idea is secure. We build the concept first, then drill the marks.

Specification-led planning

Lessons follow the exam board specification, so progress is measurable and nothing important is skipped.

Exam technique

Explanations are often wrapped up with exam-style summaries, so students see exactly how marks are won.

Results from students

Students regularly make a jump in grade and a clear increase in confidence once they start working with me. Here is what some of them and their parents say:

“
Mr Ahdash started tutoring my daughter online after a difficult period at school which destroyed her confidence in chemistry. After the first lesson she came out bouncing saying the time had flown by as she 'really enjoyed science!' Mr Ahdash completely rebuilt her confidence and rapidly got her back on track.

“
I can honestly say Mr Ahdash was one of the best things that happened to me during my GCSEs. He didn't just teach me science, he made me actually believe I could understand it and do well.

“
Being taught GCSE science by Mr Ahdash was an absolutely brilliant experience. He taught me according to my own personal needs and whenever I needed help on a question he would break it down into steps that would be easy to understand.
