How to revise GCSE Science properly
Active recall, spaced repetition and past papers — the three habits that move grades fastest.
Most students revise by re-reading notes. It feels productive, but it is one of the weakest ways to learn.
Instead, build your revision around three habits:
1. Active recall — close the book and write down everything you remember, then check. 2. Spaced repetition — revisit each topic after 1 day, 3 days, then a week. 3. Past papers under timed conditions — mark them yourself with the mark scheme.
Do this for 30 focused minutes a day and you will outperform three hours of highlighting.
